The short version

What happens to what you share

A plain-language summary of how Chaperone handles your information. The published documents below are what govern the service.

Real people, with AI that assists

Chaperone connects you with trained Peer Coaches. AI, including Chap, our AI guide, may assist with navigation, summaries, recommendations, and Coach matching, and it does not replace human judgment or professional care.

Who can see what you share

We do not make private Chaperone information public. Your Peer Coach and authorized Chaperone personnel can see it when reasonably necessary to support you, supervise Coaches, review quality, address a safety concern, or operate the service, and access depends on role. What you share is encrypted in transit and at rest.

How AI uses your information

Private conversations may be processed by service providers that help deliver AI features. We do not authorize those providers to use your conversations or consumer health data to train their general-purpose AI models, and anything used to improve Chaperone’s own models is de-identified first.

Not sold, not used for advertising

Chaperone does not sell personal information or consumer health data, and does not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The product uses no third-party advertising, analytics, session-replay, or cross-site tracking.

You stay in control

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, withdraw consent you have given for sensitive data, and appeal a decision we make. Verified consumer-health deletion requests are processed within 30 days, with the limited exceptions the Your Privacy Rights page explains.

Not an emergency service

If there is an immediate emergency or danger, call 911 or your local emergency service. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
